Head to The West Show at L’Eree
It’s mid-August so this means it’s time for the popular West Show to take place at L’Eree.
The western parishes of St Pierre du Bois, St Saviour and Torteval join forces and present this family orientated event which attracts both locals and visitors. The show will take place on Wednesday 14 and Thursday 15August 2019.
As ever, be prepared to be entertained and learn about Guernsey’s agricultural and horticultural traditions from the past 100 years.
This year’s show will feature tasty exhibits at the Country Show produced by locals – cakes, flowers, vegetables, fruit, photography, plants, arts and crafts.
The show opens at 10am on both days.
Always popular with children, check out the Animal and Livestock Classes which feature adorable sheep, pigs, goats and cattle.
Check the daily schedule carefully as both days are packed with shows and events including:
- Bolddog Lings display team
- Eagle Heights
- Mini Monster Truck Mania
- Mr Alexander’s Travelling Show
- Vintage tractor display
- Lawnmower races
- Local produce exhibits
- Animal displays and pet tent
- Music (live music from 8pm)
- Auction of produce
- Fun fair (open from 2pm till late)
Parking costs £2.
Single day tickets available on the gate: adults cost £6.50, juniors (five to 15 years) £3.50, and under-fives are free.
