North Show: Bring Forth The North
It’s time to head to Saumarez Park and attend Guernsey’s popular North Show and Battle of the Flowers. What’s not to love about this colourful outdoor event presented by the Northern Agricultural and Horticultural Society that attracts thousands of locals and visitors every year.
The North Show showcases the talents and displays of exhibitors’ entries, from Guernsey livestock to flowers, vegetables to baked goods, woodwork to embroidery. Visitors can spend hours admiring and appreciating the handiwork of creative locals.
This year’s show takes place on Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 August.
In the arena, there is a programme of high energy shows scheduled for both days. There is also a funfair and stall-holders selling refreshments and food.
On Thursday afternoon, the Battle of the Flowers will entertain and delight the audience. Colourful floats will parade around the arena offering spectators the opportunity to vote for the coveted “Prix d’honneur.”
The two-day event will end with an illuminated cavalcade followed by a stunning fireworks display.
