What’s on in Guernsey in October?
The island is starting to gain a golden glow as the leaves change colour and the bracken across the cliffs turns coppery brown. Summer is definitely over and it’s time to wrap up and wear a jacket.
As we look forward to Halloween and enjoy plenty of bright orange pumpkins available for sale at the hedge and veg stalls, let’s take a look at what’s on to keep us entertained this month.
Here are Sure’s top entertainment picks for October:

Each member of the trio is an accomplished musician and performer, so attendees can expect to witness an incredible music experience.

Looking for a deal
On TV, we are bombarded by programmes like Bargain Hunt, Dickinson’s Real Deal, and the Antiques Roadshow, as people become consumed with selling their heirlooms.
Experience the thrill for yourself by attending an auction in person and see what treasures you can bid for.
On Wednesday 16 October, starting at 10am, head to Martel Maides auction house on Cornet Street to attend the fine art, antiques and jewellery auction. You may be surprised at the bargains you can snap up and be inspired to submit some of your own collectables.
Visit Martel Maides website for a full schedule of auctions.
There’s something for everyone this month!
