EY Easter Running Festival 2024

Guernsey’s 2024 EY Easter Running Festival is on this year from 29 March to 1 April.

The event includes a 5km road race, 4.75-mile full course cross country run, 4×1 mile relay race, and 10km road race. Below are some more details on each race as well as the Junior Easter Running Festival.

29 March – 5km Road Race

The opening event of the EY Easter Running Festival is a flat coastal 5km starting at L’Eree and finishing on the Vazon coast road. The race largely takes place on open roads with all junctions being marshalled for traffic and to direct runners.

30 March – Keith Falla Memorial Cross Country

The Keith Falla Memorial Cross Country on the second day of the festival will follow a traditional 4.75-mile lap of the paths and grass trails of L’Ancresse Common.

31 March – 4×1 Mile Cross Country Relay

The 4×1 mile relay race takes place at Delancey Park. Each runner completes the same one-mile loop featuring twists, turns, and climbs. Teams can consist of men, women or mixed genders (prizes are available in all categories). Athletes taking part in the festival without a team can be allocated one. This event is open to all but does not form part of the overall individual competition.

1 April – 10km Road Race

This flat, fast, and largely coastal 10km course follows a point-to-point route curving around the north of the island.

Junior Easter Running Festival

The Junior Easter Running Festival is a three-day event taking pace in conjunction with the main EY Easter Running Festival. It features an exciting variety of races including a beach run, cross country, and a relay race.
