North Show and Battle of the Flowers 2022

Guernsey’s highly anticipated North Show and Battle of the Flowers is set to take place in beautiful, leafy Saumarez Park from 24-25 August 2022.

Presented by the Northern Agricultural and Horticultural Society, the North Show attracts thousands of locals and visitors every year and is one of the main events in Guernsey’s summer calendar.

Some of the exhibitors taking part will showcase their talent with traditional Guernsey livestock through to flowers and flower arrangements, cookery, woodwork, photography, embroidery and other arts and crafts.

Throughout the two-day event, attendees can expect a funfair and various high energy shows, including Jamie Squibb’s freestyle motocross arena stunt show, and two different equestrian stunt shows on each day from trainer Nicky de Neumann entitled ‘Wild West’ and ‘Vikings’.

Around the showground, patrons will also be entertained by ‘The Accidental Zoo’, Guernsey’s only professional bubbleologist Chloe Ferguson, and Wonder Wheelers which offers thrill seekers the chance to ride a Penny Farthing bike.

On the final day, the Guernsey Battle of the Flowers takes place in the afternoon, and includes the colourful parade of floats vying for the coveted title of ‘Prix d’honneur’ as judged by the spectators.

An illuminated cavalcade in the evening followed by an impressive firework display marks the end of this ever-popular community event.

The grounds open at 10am each day.
