A new culinary adventure is set to take place in Guernsey in April as the Channel Islands hosts its first Spring Food Fest.
Organised by the team behind Tennerfest, in collaboration with VisitGuernsey, this new month-long activity is described as “a brand-new event designed to showcase the very best of the Bailiwick’s local produce and hospitality.”
Throughout the month of April participating restaurants will offer signature spring dishes, delicious set menus, exclusive promotions and “exciting dining experiences that highlight the island’s finest ingredients.”
Some of the establishments taking part include La Perla, Le Pesked Restaurant in Alderney, Sark Time and Tide Seafood and Grill, Fermain Valley Hotel, and La Barbarie.
In a press release, lead marketing officer at States of Guernsey, Zoe Gosling, said: “This is all about celebrating what Guernsey does best – great food, fresh local ingredients, and fantastic hospitality. It’s a chance for locals to rediscover favourite spots and for visitors to sample something new – from hearty seasonal specials to light spring dishes and family-friendly Easter treats.”
She added: “We may be small in size, but we are mighty– and by working together we can showcase the very best the Islands have to offer. The quality and variety of our dining experiences is one of our strengths and a hook for us to market the islands.
“The flexibility the festival offers to participants should result in an exciting promotion that we can use to encourage last minute Easter bookings, add value for those who are already booked and that locals can also take advantage of.”
