A new summer festival will be taking place in the Channel Islands this year on the island of Herm.

Herm Fest 2024 is replacing SarkFest. It will be held from 12-14 July in the courtyard of the Mermaid Tavern with acoustic sessions on the grass at Herm Harbour.

Around 20 acts from Guernsey and Jersey have signed up to perform at the inaugural event so far. They include The Nightmares, The Roughtones, The Cage Shakers, Twelve Tribe Mansion, Clameur de Haro, The Button Pushers, Its Own Animal, The Basement Preachers, Cutting Corners, and Cherry Red.

On Friday the music will start from 5pm and end at 10pm. On Saturday and Sunday, entertainment will begin at noon and finish at 10pm.

Ticket prices are £31 (including a meal) for a single day, VIP Day Tickets for £69 (including a two-course meal, seating area and private bar on courtyard top deck), a single weekend ticket for £85 (including a meal each day) and £12 for children aged 16 and under (no food).

The organisers of SarkFest 2024 announced on social media that it was cancelled “due to damage onsite from Storm Ciaran and logistics which cannot be resolved by July”.
