The Channel Islands will celebrate Pride from 3-10 September 2022 as Guernsey and Jersey mark 50 years since the first UK Pride parade of protest was held in 1972.
Pride activities begin in St Peter Port on Saturday 3 September with a 1970’s themed party and parade. Some of the acts already confirmed include headliners ‘The Freemasons’, Katherine Ellis, Amanda Wilson and Lawrence Chaney, the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. Entry is free!
After the main event an official ‘Pride After Party’ with Radio One DJ Dean McCollough will be held at 9.30pm. The party’s location will be disclosed nearer the time.

On 4 September the official ‘Pride Pool Party’ will take place at La Collinette Hotel, St Jacques. Doors open at 2pm.
The LGBTQ+ Business Conference is scheduled for 6 September at Old Government House Hotel and Spa (OGH). This event will feature an afternoon of workshops and talks aimed at creating an LGBTQ+ business network and support system for organisations in Guernsey.
After the conference ‘Friends of Liberate’ will host a launch event at OGH. This informative event will explain the work of Liberate in Guernsey and outline how individuals can positively assist and support the local LGBTQ+ community.

On 7 September the Channel Islands LGBTQ+ Writing Competition awards night will take place from 7pm at Guille-Allès Library.
The week of Pride events will conclude in Jersey on 10 September with a parade starting at Royal Square. Confirmed acts include DJ Woody Cook and drag act Queenz: The Show with Balls. The parade begins at 1pm and ends at 10.30pm in the Pride Village, People’s Park.
The Pride Village will have activities for all ages with a family fun zone, a community zone, and a well-being zone. There will also be lots of food and drink for sale.
