There’s always something going on in Guernsey!

Even though we’re currently on lock down, and it’s a bit cold and dark right now, events are still planned for when the days get brighter and warmer.

Sure has found a few upcoming fun and family-friendly activities you can look forward to in 2021 from January until June.

Swiss-themed pop up

Every Saturday in February (except 13 February), St Pierre Park will host a Swiss-themed pop-up in The Victor Hugo Restaurant.

Guests are invited to enjoy the “alpine atmosphere” while tucking into Swiss delights such as Gruyére with crusty sourdough and the Swiss chocolate fountain. The cost is £27.50 per person.

Curry and quiz night

Les Cotils in St Peter Port holds its ever-popular curry and quiz night on 5 February from 7pm-10pm. The cost for a table of six is £12.95 per person. Contact [email protected] to book your table!

Guernsey Marathon

The new-look Guernsey Marathon is scheduled to return on 28 March 2021.

Competitors can take part in multi-distance race events including the marathon, a relay race with teams of two and five, and a fun run.

The course takes runners around Guernsey’s stunning coastline, starting and finishing at Castle Pier in St Peter Port.

Liberation Day

The 76th anniversary of Guernsey’s Liberation will be remembered on 9 May 2021.

An important day in the Bailiwick’s history, this commemoration celebrates the islands’ freedom from German Occupation during World War II with events, entertainment, and activities for all the family.

Guernsey Seaweed Festival

This festival held on 20 June will celebrate Guernsey’s seaweed heritage.

Patrons can expect beach games for children, local crafts and produce, chefs making seaweed-based food, Morris dancing and lots more. It all takes place from 9am-6pm at Rocquaines Bay.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the public are encouraged to check local and social media for the most up-to-date information on these events.
