Guernsey Marathon 2024

The streets of St Peter Port and surrounding areas will be brimming with action on Sunday 14 April as the annual Sure Guernsey Marathon gets under way.

Hundreds of competitors will run past some of the island’s most iconic landmarks as they traverse country lanes, picturesque valleys, and Guernsey’s beautiful coastline for 26.2 miles.

The race starts and finishes on South Esplanade (at the bottom of Val Des Terres) in St Peter Port.

It is split into three categories – the Sure Marathon, Mourant Relay Race (teams of two and five) and The Guernsey Marathon Mile. The main marathon race is open to anyone who is aged 18 or older.

There will be eight water stations around the course and marshals to keep runners on track. At the end of the race, massage therapists from Guernsey Therapy Group will even be on hand to soothe any aching muscles.

This is a challenging but rewarding course for new athletes and competitive runners. Spectators are urged to come out and offer their support to help participants get through the course.

See you on the start line at 9am!
