Santa Fun Run raising funds for local charities

It’s time to look at the back of your wardrobe for your Santa suit or buy a festive hat or simply find some warm red attire to wear on the Santa Fun Run 2018.

Organised by Aid Reaching Children (ARC), this popular pre-Christmas event is celebrating its 15thanniversary.

Supported by locals and visitors, participants are invited to run, jog, walk, stroll, roll (rollerblade) or scoot from Pembroke to St Peter Port, finishing at Market Square, on Sunday 16 December.

The festivities will take place from 11.30am to 2pm.

The sign-up deadline is 10.45am, before the warm-up commences. Participants need to bring along their completed sponsorship forms and money in the envelope provided.

The Fun Run (4.6 km) starts at 11.30am and there are medals for every participant who completes the run.

Registration forms are available at Aladdin’s Cave. The entry fee is £5 and Santa suits are available for £2.

The proceeds will be used to help local children who are suffering from cancer and a percentage will be allocated to projects overseas, in partnership with BuildAid UK, to build shelters for young girls who have been sexually exploited and rescued in the Philippines.

Make it a family event and bring along the kids and your dogs. All are welcome.
