On Sunday 16thSeptember, the volunteers at Wellbeing Animals Guernsey (WAG) kicked off their 10 weeks of walks across 10 parishes.

It’s not a problem if you missed the initial walk as they will be taking place every Sunday until 18thNovember.

Bring along your four-legged friend/s for a companionable walk and make new friends along the way.

From 2pm -4pm, walkers can choose routes that involve a leisurely stroll or a more challenging ramble.

There is a mandatory sign-up fee of £10. Your dog will be issued with a passport highlighting the schedule of walks, which will be stamped at the end of each walk.

Passports are available for purchase from Creature Comforts in the Bouet, Isabelle Vets or the GSPCA, or at the start at any of the walks.

The final walk will take place at Government House on Sunday 18thNovember.

If you complete all 10 walks, your dog will receive a certificate of completion signed by WAG’s canine patron, Milo. And you’ll receive a well-deserved cup of tea!

Anyone who can’t join the Sunday walks can still take part by doing the walks in their own time. Take a selfie of you and your dog at the finish venue and attach it to your passport.
