The 2024 Bailiwick Wildlife Photography Exhibition will be on display from 26 January until 17 March in The Greenhouse Gallery at Guernsey Museums, alongside the Natural History Museum’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year.

Now in its third year, the exhibition features images from local wildlife photographers who were asked by Guernsey Arts to submit their most dynamic images of Bailiwick wildlife.

The categories for 2024 were

– Birds.

– Insects.

– Marine.

– Bailiwick animals.

– Patterns in nature.

– Video and film.

In a press release, Russ Fossey, head of Arts Development at Guernsey Arts, said: “The Bailiwick Wildlife Open is an inspiring community exhibition. With an increase in submissions every year, it has been going from strength to strength, with submissions from photographers of all ages and experience levels.

“We are very pleased to be partnering with Guernsey Electricity to amplify opportunities for our Island community to engage with the works, to discover more about the nature and wildlife residing in the Bailiwick, and to explore how the power of art can inform decision makers and make a difference to our understanding of the environment.”

A prize will be awarded for each category as well as for the winner of the People’s Choice Award and Young Bailiwick Wildlife Photographer of the Year.

Last year, 60 photographers submitted over 200 images to the exhibition.
